Spirax Sarco EL2600 pressure transmitter consists of a pressure sensor and transmitter designed for industrial applications. It uses a 2-wire 4 - 20mA current loop and a ¼” NPT connection. Two “U” tube and valve options are available, with maximum design pressures of 25bar g and 80 bar g, respectively.

Pressure Ranges and Overload Pressure

Different pressure ranges correspond to different overload pressures. For example, the overload pressure for the 0 - 1.6 bar a and 0 - 2.5 bar a ranges is 10bar. Exceeding the overload pressure can damage the sensor, even for a short period. If excessive pressure may occur, use a pressure snubber or select a pressure transmitter with a higher range, although this may reduce signal resolution.

Connection Method

When the fluid temperature is below 100°C, EL2600 can be installed directly on the pipe through the ¼” NPT connection. When the temperature exceeds 100°C, a “U” tube and isolation valve must be installed between EL2600 and the pipe or vessel.

Installation and Maintenance

A “U” tube and isolation valve must be used when the temperature exceeds 100°C. No special maintenance is required, but annual inspection and testing are recommended. For further information, refer to Installation and Maintenance Instructions IM - GCM - 10.
