Description
Spirax Sarco UIB30 and UIB30H sealed inverted bucket steam traps can be installed horizontally or vertically, with the body suspended downward and the cover at the top. UIB30H is the high-capacity version. When connected to a suitable pipeline connector, supplied separately by Spirax Sarco, UIB can be conveniently removed in-line without disturbing the pipework, reducing system downtime. Pipeline connectors are available with threaded, socket-weld and flanged connections.

Standards and Certifications
This product complies with European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC. Body and cover welding complies with ASME section IX and BS EN 288. An EN 10204 3.1 certificate is available when specified at the time of order.
Operating Range
The maximum pressure and temperature of the complete assembly are determined by the pipeline connector model and connection type. Refer to the relevant technical documentation for detailed information. The product has defined temperature and pressure application limits, and some areas of the operating range are not applicable.

Capacity
Steam trap selection should be based on the closest matching operating differential pressure rather than the load. For example, a load of 80kg/h at a 7 bar differential pressure requires UIB30/7 rather than UIB30/4.

Ordering Information
The assembly is supplied in two parts: the pipeline connector; and UIB30 steam trap with inner and outer ring gaskets, located in position, plus 2 connecting bolts packed in the linen bag attached to the flange.
Safety Information, Installation and Maintenance
For detailed information, refer to the installation and maintenance instructions supplied with the product (IM-P113 - 02). UIB30 can be connected to any pipeline connector; refer to Spirax Sarco pipeline connector installation and maintenance instructions (IM-P128-06, IM-P128-11 and IM-P128-13). UIB30 steam trap is manufactured from stainless steel and can be recycled. Proper disposal will not cause an environmental hazard.
