Description
Spirax Sarco AEL5 series electric actuators are reversible actuators with linear output. The series is available with four power input options: 230Vac, 115Vac, 24Vac, and 24Vdc. Standard models accept VMD (valve motor drive) signals. An internal positioner board can be installed when required to accept 4-20mA or 2-10Vdc control signals. The 24Vdc version cannot be fitted with a positioner board.
Actuators can be ordered with or without a potentiometer. Actuators ordered with a potentiometer include a 1kΩ feedback resistor as standard. This can be used with a positioner board accepting 4-20mA or 2-10V signals, or as feedback for a VMD input signal. Other available accessories include auxiliary limit switches and an anti-condensation heater. With the appropriate valve adapter and mounting flange, these actuators can be used with the following valves: 2-way SPIRA-TROL valves and 3-way QL33, QL43, QL63, and QL73 valves.

For media temperatures from 130℃ to 240℃, a high-temperature assembly is required. Refer to the high-temperature assembly specifications in the documentation.

Positioner boards cannot be installed on 24Vdc models. Select another power supply type if analog signal control is required.
