Description
Spirax Sarco CVS10 clean-service metal-seated check valves are spring-loaded check valves made from 316L stainless steel to prevent fluid backflow in piping systems. This metal-seated valve is widely used in the food, medical, and pharmaceutical industries, primarily for steam and other demanding environments where soft seats are unsuitable. EPDM, Viton, and FEP - Silicon soft-sealing seats are available for water, process fluids, and gas applications (see TI - P029 - 10). Several surface finishes are available, including CVS10 - 1 with an internal surface polished to 0.5 micrometers Ra (compliant with ASME BPE SF1) and an external surface polished to 0.8 micrometers Ra; and CVS10 - 2 with an internal surface electropolished to 0.38 micrometers Ra (compliant with ASME BPE SF4) and an external surface polished to 0.8 micrometers Ra.

Packaging
The product is separated from other non-stainless steel products and individually packaged in a clean environment. In accordance with ASME BPE standards, the inlet and outlet connections are sealed with caps, and the entire valve is sealed in a plastic bag to prevent dust ingress.

Operation
The valve opens under fluid pressure. When fluid flow stops, the spring closes the valve before reverse flow can occur.
