Description
Spirax Sarco FT43 cast iron float and thermostatic steam trap DN25 - DN50, with stainless steel internals, an integral automatic air vent, horizontal installation, and flanged connections. The FT43 can also be supplied in the vertical FT43V version. The trap can be serviced in-line without removing the pipeline. A manual adjustment needle valve is available with the FT43 - C version to release steam locking. BSP or NPT threaded holes can be drilled in the cover for installing a drain valve, if required. With a BP99/32 capsule, the trap can be used with superheated steam, with superheat up to 150°C@0 bar g and 50°C@32 bar g.

Options
In addition to the air vent, this steam trap can be supplied with a steam lock release device (SLR). Models with this option carry the letter C after the model designation. A 3/8”SP or 3/8”PT threaded hole can be drilled in the cover or underside for installing a balance pipe or drain valve.
Sizes and Pipeline Connections
Available sizes are DN25, DN40, and DN50. For horizontal connections, when facing the valve body, flow is from left to right for DN25 and from right to left for DN40 and DN50. For vertical connections, flow is only from top to bottom. The standard flange is EN 1092 PN16, with flange face dimensions complying with EN 26554 (Series 1). JIS/KS 10 and ANSI B 16.5 class 125 flanges are available on request. ANSI/JIS/KS flanges have threaded holes for flange bolts; ANSI flange bolt holes use UNC threads, while JIS/KS flange bolt holes use metric threads.

Safety Information, Installation, and Maintenance
For detailed information, refer to the installation and maintenance instructions supplied with the product (IM-S02-30). Install the trap in the flow direction indicated on the body. Ensure that the float arm is horizontal so the float can move freely in the vertical direction.
Disposal
This product is recyclable. When disposed of properly, it presents no environmental hazard.
