Description
Spirax Sarco FT47 ductile iron float-operated steam trap (DN15-DN50) features an integral automatic air vent and flanged connections. It can be installed horizontally or vertically; the vertical installation version is FT47V. The horizontal FT47, available up to 21 bar g, can be fitted with an optional manual regulating needle valve for breaking steam locking, designated FT47-C. A 3/8” BSP or NPT threaded hole can also be drilled in the cover for installing a drain valve, if required. Body and cover castings are manufactured by TÜV-certified foundries.

This product complies with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC and can be supplied with the appropriate marking where required.
Certificates
A manufacturer’s test report can be supplied with this product, and an EN10204 3.1 certificate is also available. Specify the required certificate when placing the order.
Size and Pipe Connections

Size: DN15, DN20, DN25, DN40 and DN50.

Connection arrangement: For horizontal installation, when facing the valve body, flow is from left to right for DN15-DN25 and from right to left for DN40 and DN50. For vertical installation, flow is from top to bottom. Standard flanges are EN1092 PN40 and PN25, with flange face-to-face dimensions complying with EN 26554 (Series 1). ANSI B16.5 class 150 flanges are available on request, with flange face-to-face dimensions complying with EN 26554 (Series 1). Bolt holes in ANSI flanges have UNC threads.
Operating Range
The product has specific application limits. For example, it must not be used in the A - B flange EN 1092 PN40 or A - C flange ANSI 150 areas, as this may damage the internal components.

Safety Information, Installation and Maintenance
For detailed information, refer to the installation and maintenance guide supplied with the product (IM-S02-30). Install the trap in the flow direction indicated on the body, and ensure that the float arm is horizontal so the float can move freely in the vertical direction.
Disposal
This product is recyclable. When disposed of properly, it presents no environmental hazard.
