Description
FTGS14HC is a Spirax Sarco float and thermostatic steam trap with a 1” threaded connection. The body is made of austenitic stainless steel and includes an automatic air vent. The cover is nickel-plated spheroidal graphite cast iron, providing good corrosion resistance. The trap can be maintained online without dismantling the piping.

Capsule
The BP99/32 capsule can be used with superheated steam, with a superheat limit of 150°C@0 barg and 50°C@32 bar g.
Options

In addition to the air vent, this trap can be fitted with a steam-lock release device (SLR) to prevent steam locking in the system. Models with this option have the letter C added to the model designation. Contact Spirax Sarco for further information.

A 3”BSP or NPT threaded hole can be drilled in the top of the cover for installation of a balance pipe.

A 3/”BSP or NPT threaded hole can be drilled in the bottom of the cover for installation of a drain valve.

Capacity
The capacity shown in the chart is the condensate capacity at saturation temperature. During startup, the condensate is cold and the thermostatic air vent is open, providing additional condensate capacity. The additional cold-water capacity provided by the air vent at different differential pressures is shown below:

Note: FTGS14 installation must match the fluid flow direction indicated by the arrow on the body. Ensure that the float arm is horizontal and that the float can move freely in the vertical direction.
Disposal
This product is recyclable and will not cause environmental problems when disposed of properly.
How to Order

Example 1: 1 set of Spirax Sarco 1” FTGS14HC-4.5(L-R) float and thermostatic steam trap, BSP threaded connection, with air vent. Cover drilled with a /” top balance hole and bottom drain hole.
