Description
Spirax Sarco LRV2B and LRV2S gunmetal pressure reducing valves are direct-acting pressure reducing valves designed for liquid systems. LRV2B features phosphor bronze/brass bellows, while LRV2S features stainless steel (316Ti/316L) bellows. The downstream pressure control spring range is identified by the different colors of the plastic indicator plate on the adjusting handwheel: grey corresponds to 0.35 - 1.7 bar g, green to 1.40 - 4.0 bar g, and orange to 3.50 - 8.6 bar g. Where pressure ranges overlap, the lower-range spring provides better control performance.

Port Sizes and Pipe Connections
Threaded connections are available in ½”, ¾”, and 1” sizes, with BSP (BS 21 Rp) or NPT connection standards.
Pressure/Temperature Limits
The body design rating is PN16. The maximum allowable pressure PMA is 25 bar g @ 120 °C, the maximum allowable temperature TMA is 100 °C @ 17 bar g, and the minimum allowable temperature is 0 °C. The maximum operating pressure PMO is 14 bar g @ 75 °C, the maximum operating temperature TMO is 75 °C @ 14 bar g, and the minimum design temperature is 0 °C. Consult Spirax Sarco for operation below this temperature. The maximum operating differential pressure is determined by PMO. A maximum recommended reduction ratio of 10 : 1 is recommended at maximum flow. The design maximum cold hydraulic test pressure is 38 bar g. After internal components are installed, the test pressure must not exceed 17 bar g.
Materials
Various components are manufactured from different materials, including an aluminum spring chamber with epoxy coating (LM24), a polypropylene plastic adjusting handwheel, and a gunmetal valve body (BS 1400 LG2).
Capacity
When the valve is fully open, the Kv value varies by port size: 2.1 for ½”, 3.6 for ¾”, and 4.3 for 1”. Convert values using Cv (UK) = Kv x 0.963 and Cv (US) = Kv x 1.156 for safety valve selection.

Safety Information, Installation and Maintenance
Install the pressure reducing valve in a horizontal pipeline, with the flow direction following the arrow on the valve body. Refer to the installation and maintenance instructions supplied with the product for detailed installation and maintenance information (IM-P001-18).
