Spirax Sarco BVA300 series pneumatic actuators are designed to operate Spirax Sarco ball valves in a wide range of industrial applications. The series features adjustable travel limits in both directions, providing rotation of 90º ±5º. The new BVL-X connection features an extended valve stem. Pneumatically actuated ball valves are available in a range of three-piece, two-piece, and one-piece designs.

Additional Options

• Limit switch boxes: A range of limit switch boxes is available to indicate ball valve position, with the switching point adjustable at any point throughout the actuator travel. Standard switch boxes have an IP67 enclosure rating. Available models include LSB31 (contact switches (2 x SPDT)), LSB71 (contact switches (2 x SPDT), flameproof Exd IIC T6), LSB32 (10 - 30 Vdc 3-wire proximity sensor (NPN)), LSB72 (10 - 30 Vdc 3-wire proximity sensor (NPN), flameproof Exd IIC T6), LSB33 (8 Vdc 2-wire proximity sensor), LSB73 (8 Vdc 2-wire proximity sensor, flameproof Exd IIC T6), LSB34 (5 - 60 Vdc 2-wire proximity sensor), and LSB74 (5 - 60 Vdc 2-wire proximity sensor, flameproof Exd IIC T6).

• Solenoid valves: Namur solenoid valves are available for BVA actuators, with an IP65 enclosure rating, to control compressed air or non-corrosive gas entering the actuator. Explosion-proof solenoid valves are also available. Coil voltages are available as 3/2 NAMUR for single-acting actuators (220VAC, 110VAC, 24VAC/dc) and 5/2 NAMUR for double-acting actuators (220VAC, 110VAC, 24VAC/dc).

Sizing Table

The sizing table (pages 4 - 12) is used to select the correct pneumatic actuator for the relevant Spirax Sarco ball valve. For valves not listed in the table, contact Spirax Sarco. The table covers sizing for three-piece, two-piece, and one-piece ball valves, matching the appropriate BVA actuator and BVL connection models according to the ball valve model, nominal diameter (DN), and actuator operating pressure.

How to Order

The sizing table (pages 4 - 11) must be consulted before ordering.

Ordering example: 1 Spirax Sarco BVA320S/8 actuator, 1 MV13 24 Vac solenoid valve, 1 BVL303X connection assembly, and 1 LSB72 limit switch box.

Note: Pneumatic ball valves are assembled according to the application before shipment.

Spare Parts

Available spare parts include O-ring kits (available in NBR, Viton, or silicone), pinion washers, and other components (part numbers: 5,6,10,17,18). All spare parts mentioned above are supplied as a single spare parts kit.

Spare parts should normally be ordered using the description in the “Spare Parts Available” column, together with the pneumatic actuator model.
