Certifications and Standards
-
A test report is available with this product. Specify any required certificates when ordering.
-
This product complies with European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC.
-
Tightness standard: Standard valves comply with DIN 3230 part 3, BN2. DIN 3230 part 3, B03 is available on request. Where a pressure differential exists, soft-seat valves can meet DIN3230 part 3 BN1 and B01.
Operating Principle
The disc check valve opens under fluid pressure and closes under spring force when flow stops and before reverse flow occurs.

Safety Information, Installation, and Maintenance
Refer to the installation and maintenance instructions supplied with the product (IM-P134-07) for details. Install the DCV check valve according to the flow-direction arrow on the body. Spring-loaded valves can be installed in any orientation. When a springless valve is installed in a vertical pipe, ensure that flow is directed upward. The body’s cam design allows installation with various flange types. Rotate the body until it contacts the flange connection bolts to ensure that the valve is centered in the pipeline. The installer must provide the flanges, bolts, nuts, and gaskets. Disc check valves are non-repairable products; spare parts are not available.
Note: DCV1 check valves must not be used in applications with severe pulsation, such as near compressors.

Disposal
If a product containing fluoroelastomer components is exposed to temperatures approaching or exceeding 315℃, the fluoroelastomer may decompose and form hydrofluoric acid. Avoid skin contact with and inhalation of this acid, as it can cause skin burns and respiratory system damage. Dispose of fluoroelastomer components according to the recommendations in the installation and maintenance instructions (IM-P134-07). Proper disposal will not create an environmental hazard.
