Spirax Sarco Fig33.1 is a Y-pattern strainer made of ductile iron with flanged connections. Standard stainless steel screen apertures vary by size: 0.8mm for DN15 to DN80 and 1.6mm for DN100 to DN200. Other apertures, mesh counts, and Monel alloy screens are available. The strainer cap can be drilled and tapped for connection to a blowdown or drain valve.

Temperature and Pressure Limits

This product has operating temperature and pressure limitations and must not be used in the grey area. Standard flanges are EN 1092 PN16.

Safety Information, Installation and Maintenance

For detailed information, refer to the installation and maintenance guide supplied with the product (IM - S6018).

• Installation: Install the strainer in a horizontal pipeline or in a vertical pipeline with downward flow, as indicated by the flow arrow on the body. In horizontal steam or gas pipelines, keep the strainer body in the horizontal position. In liquid systems, position the body vertically downward. Install suitable isolation valves upstream and downstream of the strainer to facilitate maintenance and replacement.

• Maintenance: When safe operating procedures are followed, the strainer can be serviced directly in the pipeline.

• Disposal: This product is recyclable and will not present an environmental hazard when disposed of properly.
