Description
Spirax Sarco LP10-4 level sensor is used with Spirax Sarco LC1350 level controller for on/off level control and alarm functions in steam boilers, water tanks, or other vessels. The 4-probe sensor is suitable for applications with a 3-lamp electronic level/alarm display. Sensor body grounding is provided through the threaded connection. When installed in concrete or plastic tanks, one probe can be used for grounding, or a separate grounding rod or plate can be provided. The 4 probes are removable and can be cut to the required length before installation (probes must be ordered separately). When immersed in a conductive liquid, the probes complete an electrical circuit; as the liquid level falls below a probe, resistance increases and a signal is sent to the controller.

Warning: If this product is exposed to excessive heat, the plastic materials it contains may release toxic fumes.
Installation: LP10-4 is designed for installation in a BSPRP1 (1” BSP tapered) or 1” NPT threaded flange or cover. The thread specification must be stated when ordering. When installed in boilers or water tanks subject to severe turbulence, a protection tube with a minimum nominal bore of 80 mm is recommended. Outdoor installations must be protected from weather exposure.
Wiring: Wiring LP10-4 is simple and direct. Wiring connectors are available as spare parts, and the terminals are color-coded for identification. To disconnect the wiring, open the wire assembly; it is not necessary to remove the cable gland.
Maintenance: Although boiler water level controls require periodic testing, this product requires no special maintenance.
