Spirax Sarco S8 stainless steel steam separators DN65-DN350 remove liquids from steam, compressed air, and gas systems. For steam applications, an FT float trap and AV air vent must be installed. For compressed air/gas applications, a CA float drain trap must be installed.

Standards

This product complies with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC. Design and manufacture comply with EN 13445:2002 — “Unfired pressure vessels.”

Certificates

An EN 10204 3.1 material certificate is available. Other certificates can also be provided at an additional cost; please consult Spirax Sarco. If certificates are required, specify this when ordering.

Sizes and Pipe Connections

• Sizes: DN65, DN80, DN100, DN125, DN150, DN200, DN250, DN300, DN350.

• Flanged connections:

EN 1092 PN16 or PN40, with BSP threaded drain and vent connections.

• ANSI B16.5 Class 150 or 300, with NPT threaded drain and vent connections.

• JIS/KS 20K, with BSP threaded drain and vent connections.

• Other connection options: threaded, socket-weld, and other connection types are also available; please consult Spirax Sarco.

Materials

All S8 components are made of austenitic stainless steel (304). For a carbon steel steam separator (S7), see T1-P138-03.

Installation Instructions

To ensure effective condensate removal, install a suitable float trap and air vent. For compressed air/gas applications, install an equalizing line between the CA trap and the main pipeline or the top of the steam separator. Consult Spirax Sarco for detailed information.

Disposal

This product is recyclable and will not cause environmental harm when disposed of properly.

S8 requires no maintenance and no spare parts are available.
