Spirax Sarco 1/2" x 3/4" SV615 AS safety valve

Description

Spirax Sarco SV615 safety valve is a full-lift, full-nozzle safety valve suitable for steam, air, chemically inactive industrial gases, and non-hazardous liquids. It can protect steam or hot-water boilers, generators, pressure vessels, and other equipment, as well as serve general steam, gas, or liquid applications.

Sizes and Connections

Sizes: DN15, DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40, and DN50.
Inlet connection: BSP (BS 21) or NPT female thread; sanitary clamp connection (DN15, DN20, and DN25), compliant with BS 4825/ISO 2852/DIN 32676, with a 0.8um surface finish on wetted surfaces.
Outlet connection: BSP (BS 21) or NPT female thread.

Available Configurations

Sizes from DN15 to DN50 are available with threaded bronze bodies and stainless steel nozzles. Small sizes are available with sanitary clamp connections. All safety valves are supplied with a closed bonnet, with either a simple easing lever or a closed cap (gastight cap option). Soft seal options include Nitrile rubber, EPDM, or Viton. Electroless nickel plating (ENP) and polishing can be provided for the body, easing lever chamber (or sealed cap), and easing lever. Stainless steel nameplates are also available.

Standards and Certifications

Fully compliant with EN ISO 4126:2004 and marked accordingly, with compliance to the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC. The certification body is SAFed TAS. Seat tightness performance complies with ANSI/API STD 527 - 1992.

Certificates

Each safety valve is supplied with an EN 10204 2.2 certificate, including the valve set pressure and liquid test pressure. An EN10204 3.1 material certificate is available on request.

Pressure/Temperature Limits

Body design rating: PN25.
Set pressure range: minimum 0.3 bar g; maximum 18 bar g for ½” - 1¼”, and 14 bar g for 1½” and 2”.
Temperature limits: metal seat minimum -90°C, maximum +230°C; Nitrile rubber seal minimum -30°C, maximum +150°C; EPDM seal minimum -50°C, maximum +200°C; Viton seal minimum -20°C, maximum +120°C.
Overpressure: 5% for steam; 10 - 25% for liquids and gases.
Blowdown: 2.5 - 20% for steam and gases; 10% for liquids.
Maximum allowable backpressure: 37.5bar g.
